A social discovery platform designed to turn shared interests into real-world connections. I built the product end-to-end, from the PostgreSQL data model and REST API to AI matching, private messaging and production deployment.
I’m Roman Izegov, a backend-focused full-stack engineer combining 11+ years of engineering problem-solving with modern web development, AI integrations, real-time systems and cloud deployment

Every case combines backend architecture, product thinking, user experience and deployment decisions.

A social discovery platform designed to turn shared interests into real-world connections. I built the product end-to-end, from the PostgreSQL data model and REST API to AI matching, private messaging and production deployment.

A two-sided marketplace where customers publish home-service requests and professionals respond with tailored offers. The system includes secure authentication, real-time communication and an AI assistant that turns uploaded photos into structured job descriptions.
A field-first platform for managing technical infrastructure across communication sites, industrial facilities and enterprise buildings. It brings site maps, indoor navigation, equipment inventory, topology, schematics, documentation and maintenance history into one operational workspace.
InfraMap is an active concept product. The interface and product architecture are evolving as I translate real infrastructure workflows into a usable digital system.
The value is not only in the interface. It is in clean data flow, reliability, maintainability and deployment.
I translate user needs into data models, APIs, real-time interactions and deployable infrastructure. My background in RF and network engineering shaped a practical mindset: isolate failures, validate assumptions and build for real operating conditions.
I select technology by product need: speed, reliability, team readability and long-term maintainability.
For more than a decade I engineered communication systems operating in laboratories, equipment rooms and real field environments. Software engineering became the next layer—not a replacement—allowing me to build complete products from infrastructure to user experience.
Hands-on integration, commissioning and troubleshooting in operational environments.
Installed, commissioned and maintained RF and communication infrastructure. Performed acceptance testing, technical verification and fault isolation before operational deployment.
Integrated and validated VHF/UHF, microwave and LTE systems across laboratory and field environments. Supported bring-up, RF measurements, customer demonstrations and development-stage testing.
Configure and verify communication equipment at customer sites, test links over fiber and copper infrastructure and troubleshoot deployment issues in real operating conditions.
A parallel journey from engineering automation to complete cloud-deployed applications.
Started solving operational problems with monitoring, alerting, data processing and API-driven services using Python, Django and relational databases.
Expanded into full product development with Node.js, React, Redux, PostgreSQL, authentication, testing and responsive interfaces.
Design and build complete products—from schemas and REST APIs to real-time messaging, AI features, Dockerized infrastructure, CI/CD and AWS deployment.
Hardware taught me to validate every layer. Software gave me the tools to design those layers end-to-end.
I'm looking for my first developer role. I bring strong engineering fundamentals from 11+ years in RF systems, two deployed production projects, and a genuine drive to grow fast in a professional team
